Sarga 101: Self-Paced will introduce you to the basics of barefoot massage and Sarga Bodywork's unique myofascial techniques. This course culminates with a full-body, 90-min Sarga Bodywork massage sequence for professional application

Please note that the videos in this course begin on a floor-based setup. While most of Sarga Bodywork's floor-based techniques are the same when performed on a raised massage table, there are a few exceptions. These exceptions as well as equipment considerations for raised massage tables are also reviewed in this course.

Founders of Sarga Bodywork, Jivatma Massaguer and Daniel Tsukayama are seasoned bodyworkers with practices based on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii. Their love for barefoot massage and myofascial bodywork inspired them to create and share Sarga Bodywork with the world!

Please take some time to review the Tools & Materials section of this course before making any purchases so that you are aware of the safety and setup considerations that are part of Sarga Bodywork's methodology.

  1. For a floor-based setup: A portable massage table with “shiatsu release cables” or the ability to unfasten one end of both horizontal undercarriage cables (tools required for the latter). Instructional videos provided within this course.

  2. For a floor-based setup: A headrest and face cushion. If your massage table’s headrest is not designed to lay flat on the floor, an ergonomic and ventilated headrest designed for floor-based massage is available in our online store.
